Due to growth and annexation, a new fire station was needed for additional fire protection. It is the first LEED certified facility built for the City of Durham.
This fire station is a co-shared Durham County EMS and the City of Durham Fire Department, so it serves a dual function as an EMS center. The facility is a single story, four bay, 11,430 square foot, LEED Gold facility.
